Praise
the Lord!Sometimes
we are really slow to praise the Lord. We pat ourselves on the
back or we think we got lucky... reallly we need to say thanks to the Lord.
I
think Christmas is a great time of year to focus on thankfulness.
Remember to thank God for the greatest gift that has ever been given -
Jesus Christ himself.
I
want to share a special occasion with you... maybe this will inspire us
to get into God's Word in 2010.

...the Word of God has
come...

Today the Word of God has come to our people!" The
bishop who spoke at the dedication of the Bughotu New Testament summed
up the feelings of all the residents of Santa Isabel, the longest
island in the Solomon Islands chain, who attended this ceremony in
early October.
Many people around the world are waiting for the Bible
to be translated into their language. When the day finally comes
that God's Word is available there celebrations that last for hours -
or even days. People travel from hundreds of miles away at times
and it is often heard said that 'God speaks my langauage.'
On this occasion 1,000 Bibles were printed.700 were
brought to the dedication. All 700 copies sold within 15 minutes!
When more copies were sent to Sigana, the village where the dedication
took place, they sold out quickly, too. A reprint is now being planned
to meet the demand.
