National Bible Society of Ireland

Our sister Bible Society covers the Republic of Ireland and is based at their 'Bestseller' bookshop at 41 Dawson Street Dublin 2. Both the Bible Societies in Ireland work in close partnership together, sharing resources, publications and fundraising opportunites to support Bible projects across the world. The two Societies celebrated their bicentenaries (2006/07) by collaborating on a special Handwritten Bible project. This involved Church Leaders, local churches, schools and other groups across both parts of the island copying passages of the Bible by hand from the Contemporary English Version. It enabled thousands of people to engage with Scripture in a unique way.

Wycliffe Bible Translators

Wycliffe Bible Translators and the Bible Societies work closely together to address the global Scripture deficit. Bible translation is planned strategically to maximise the resources of both organisations and to shorten the time that language groups must wait to receive God's Word in their heart language.
