A Bible for Miskitu Indigenous

Miskitu community, NicaraguaThe translation of the Bible into the Miskitu language Dawan Bila was completed in 2000. However, with the majority of people living in extreme poverty (less than $1.00 per day), many people have still not been able to afford to buy a Bible. The Bible Society of Nicaragua is running this distribution programme so that the Miskitu Indigenous people will able to receive and understand God’s Word. This will be done through,
• The delivery of 45,000 Bibles to churches over a three year period,
• Helping churches to form Bible Study Groups so that members can strengthen their knowledge and values,
• The distribution of New Testaments with Proverbs and Psalms to students of primary and secondary schools

Please pray…
Thank God for the funding already given so that many Bibles could be distributed for free. Pray that all the necessary funding would be received so that the project can continue.
