Impacting the World in 2010
...by working to achieve the most effective translation, publication, and distribution of the Bible in all the languages spoken today.
During 2010, the Bible Society in Northern Ireland is supporting over 35 Scripture projects in 29 countries. These projects include working on the translation of the Bible into different languages; distributing God’s Word to people in churches, schools, hospitals and prisons; providing holistic support to people, encouraging them through the comfort found in the Scriptures; giving the Bible to people in a format that they understand, whether written, audio or visual; promoting Bible Literacy through literacy classes, audio Bibles, listening groups and Braille Bibles. Our plans have had to accommodate unexpected demands such as the situation in Haiti, following the January earthquake, which has required additional support.
BSNI is supporting projects in the following countries:
Albania, Belarus, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Chile, Cameroon, China, Cote d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Georgia, Greece, Haiti in the aftermath of the earthquake, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Mozambique, Myanmar, Panama, Paraguay, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Poland, Russia, Syria, Thailand, Turkey, Uganda and West Indies.

If you wish to know more about our work in any of these countries or to receive information that would enable you, your church or your church organisation to pray for the project, or to support it in any other way, please contact Bible House in Belfast.
